In this original birthplace, where the singing of languages and cultures rises, I hear a voice of oud and vetiver. A murmur of bergamot and geranium. In front of me, infinite landscapes. Deserts, meadows, patchouli, lakes, oceans, saffron, bush, moss, grapefruit, cedar, savannas, mangroves, cardamom, musk and cumin. Between dry and rainy seasons, I discern a path. I witness a dance. A ballet of dresses and manes, paws and scales, leather, leather, leather. Felines, giraffes, crocodiles, antelopes, elephants, begin an alert choreography. A new song resounds, I listen to the chorus of a continent.

Geranium & Cardamom

South Africa is where geranium first grew in the wild, and its presence in African Leather is a nod to its origins. Sustainably cultivated in Egypt, this particular geranium has a floral, aromatic and green character that encounters hand-picked Guatemalan cardamom, a spice with green, fruity, almost-candied accents that was used as incense in Ancient Egyptian times. These two ingredients steeped in history give African Leather the power of a fragrance imbued with memory.

Likes: The experience of feeling like I was in an art gallery full of scents.

Improvements: The woman working in the store the day I made my purchase was extremely unfriendly, and stressed me out the entire time. She put out a vibe as if I was bothering her, which made me feel like I was walking on egg shells. Every question I had, I hesitated asking because of her hostile nature. It made me want to just leave, but I made my purchase anyway. She never engaged me AT ALL, or asked me questions about what scents I like. Despite this, she stood close by watching me, but never offering assistance. Please work on interpersonal skills with this person. You can see who it was based on the day I made my purchase.

This is a very unique scent and it is unlike anything I have ever experienced, which is all the more reason to love it...

De retour de vacances en Ouganda. J’ai senti des odeurs de verveine, de menthe, de fruit de la passion, d’herbe hautes. Avec ce parfum il y a tellement d’odeur attendues. Un cuir vétiver. Ressemble beaucoup à d’autres terre d’hermes. Bref l’impression d’avoir un parfum qui va plaire et pas singulier. Désolé de cet avis un peu négatif
